The date

Before Kai introduced himself, Lisa quickly got up from her seat and pulled the chair for Kai. Kai was slightly taken aback but he kept his poker face. Lisa was simply too excited that she forgot that she's a girl and she doesn't need to pull the chair for Kai.

"Hi, since you asked me out I don't think I need to introduced myself?"

WOW..... I thought he would be nicer ..

After 30 seconds of silence, Kai said " So, why did you ask me out?"

Being all nervous, her pupils were shaking and had problems trying to answer Kai.

"I.... er.. I just want to get to know you better." Lisa said. Her voice was barely audible, but loud enough to get her message across.

" Alright, let's date for a year, until I start school."

"Huh?!"

"Isn't that what you want? It's a win win situation anyway. You get what you want and I get a company while I'm in army."

"AH?? This wasn't I meant...."

"Take this offer, if not do not contact me again."

Lisa's heart died a little when she heard this.. She didn't expect things to turn out this way. Part of her wants to splash her drink on his face for being so mean but a larger part of her wants to know him better. At that moment, Lisa was so confused that she was near tears. She held back her tears, grit her teeth and look at Kai.

" okay, I accept your suggestion."

Kai looked back at her, looking a little surprised as he didn't expect her to agree.

" Let's set the rules now then.
1) Meet up once a week, whenever I want it.
2) Do not think of getting money from me.
3) Don't go around bragging that I'm your 'boyfriend'
4) No dating others during the 1 year.
5) After the contract ends, do not plead me stay because I'm leaving.
That's all"

" Okay, I agree to all of them but I have one request. Don't force me to do things that I don't want. I just hope you can respect me."

" Alright, today won't be counted. This agreement will take effect tomorrow. Before I go, do you want to grab lunch?"

"Yes please, I'm really hungry! Let's ask for the menu."

Lisa was deeply hurt by Kai but she brushed it off aside because she was too hungry to care about anything else. She was elated when her food arrive and started digging in before Kai's order arrive. Tomorrow is their first day so she can still be herself.

The whole lunch was pretty quiet, with Lisa doing most of the talking. Kai always replies her in less than 5 words and he did not take the initiative to continue with the conversation.

They bade their goodbyes and went home separately. When Lisa reached home, she began to regret agreeing to Kai. He's openly trying to mock at her but she just took it readily. Lisa, Lisa what have you done? You're going to live in regret for a year. A YEAR.

Meanwhile, Kai couldn't exactly understand why he offered to date her for a year. He could have just tell her he's not interested and walk off. Why did he said such stupid things that restricts his freedom? Girls can be quite a handful sometimes. Whatever, this whole agreement thing works in his favour anyway.

"Tomorrow, XXX mall, 1pm." AH, hell has already started before Lisa could calm herself down.
