Cheap

Eeeek.. eeeek.. eeeek

It's the sound of Lisa's bed creaking. She tossed and turned, unable to fall asleep. She's too overwhelmed with what had happened. She didn't know why she agreed to it. It makes her looks.... cheap.

The alarm rang before Lisa managed to wander into her la la land. Lisa was reluctant to wake up and tried to convince herself that it was a dream. Nope it didn't work. She really need to get up and prepare for the date.

While washing up, she was fretting over what to wear. She don't want to look to dressed up because it's not a date after all. However, she does not want to dress sloppily because that's just not her. Sloppy was never part of Lisa's image. She closed her eyes, picked out a blue dress. She blow dry her hair and put on some lip tint before she headed out. She don't expect the date to be fantastic, she just hope that she won't be dead after the date.

On the other side, Kai did his usual routine without putting much though to it. Why bother putting in effort for this cheap and delusional girl? She don't exactly deserve it.

At 1pm, they met outside the mall.

"Hello!"

"Hi."

"Why are we here today?" Lisa said with a smile. (Well, she's actually dying on the inside)

"Eat. Just follow me."

"Erm okay!"
"Your shoes look great! What did you do yesterday?"

"I know. Nothing much."

With all this short replies, Lisa stopped talking because she got his message. He got no interest in engaging a conversation with her.

"Hi sir, how many of you?" The waiter greeted.

"Two"

" Okay sir, please follow me."

They were handed the menu and both of them just started browsing through the menu. Both didn't bother starting a conversation.

Kai called the waiter over and ordered his without asking Lisa if she was ready to order. Slightly annoyed by his actions, Lisa just pointed to the signature dish because she couldn't decide what to eat.

10 minutes later, the food arrived and both of them just started eating. Neither of them said anything. They just ate in silence while being surrounded by laughter and conversations from the other tables.

The bill came and Lisa offered to split the bill. Her mood was already dampened and she don't want to hear any remarks about her being a gold digger. Lisa paid for hers while Kai paid for his.

"WOW. I didn't expect you to pay. Isn't free meals part of your plan too?"

Lisa was so angry at this comment and she's boiling inside. She wished she could tear him into pieces but she can't.

"Kai, that's not very nice of you. Can I request to break this agr.."

"WOW taking back your words on just day 1? Weak. But you know what I won't allow you to do that."

At that point in time Lisa was fuming mad. She ended the date and went home alone. She didn't bother seeing his reaction because everything he said was awful.
