Japan's air is sweeter?

Before the ice cream conversation, Kai could sense that Lisa is pretty reluctant to talk to him as she was still angry. However, Lisa anger disappeared when he offered her his ice cream. It's quite fascinating to see a 22 year old who can be coaxed with ice cream. He found her.....cute. What's wrong with him?

About 2 hours later, they landed at the airport. Kai went to get his rental car and drove to the hotel. During the car ride, the mood was less tense than usual. They talk about the things they want to do and and food they want to eat. The journey to the hotel took an hour but there wasn't any awkward silence in between.

Lisa I was glad that Kai respected her privacy and booked 2 rooms. However, when she entered the room, she realised that there was another door in the room. IT'S A LINKED ROOM. Lisa stared at the door, wondering if that was planned.

After they settled in an unpack some of their necessities, they went out for lunch. Since they are still feeling a little tired, they ate a a nearby restaurant and headed back to the hotel. Kai didn't mention anything about opening up that door so she thought it was just a coincidence.

They went back to their rooms and continued to rest until dinner time. Kai called Lisa to wake her up.

"We will go eat dinner at 7.30pm okay?"

"Hmm, ah, er, okay" Lisa sounded half awake.

Since they have to no plans today, they just walked around the neighbourhood and find a random place to eat dinner. Japan is known to be a food heaven so everything taste good there. After the dinner, they continued strolling down the streets. Lisa saw some drugstores and she wanted to go shopping. She asked Kai to go back first but he insisted on following her so she just let him be. The mood between them is joyous. Something that didn't exist until they came to Japan. However, it's evident that Lisa is trying hard to hold back her emotions.

Whenever Lisa got too excited and became too close to Kai, she will always take a step back as she's afraid. She felt that she should know her position and behave accordingly. She should never cross the line, if not she will suffer when they "break up". To avoiding hurting herself twice, she tried hard to not let herself false for him even further. Kai is slowly taking steps forward while Lisa takes twice the step back to distant herself from him. Sometimes when she feel guilty for crossing the line, she will just convince herself that he's just normal friend. It's okay.

At 10pm, the shops are starting to close so they walk back to the hotel. They said good night to each other and went into their respective rooms. Before Lisa sleep, she received a message from Kai saying that the meet up time is 8.30am. Lisa set her alarm and went to bed.

Meanwhile the lights are still on in Kai's room. He recalled what had happened and found himself behaving strangely. He's not sure if it's Japan's air that is causing it or that his heart his going through certain changes. After much effort, Kai managed to throw this question back to his head and went to sleep.
