Closer.

Since they only had 3 hours of sleep, Lisa didn't wake up before the alarm rang. She didn't even wake up when the alarm sounded. She woke up only when Kai tried to wake her up.  She sprung up the moment she open her eyes as she ended up in his arms again! She apologised and went back to her room.

They quickly got ready and packed some essentials and left for the train station. The grabbed breakfast at the convenience store and boarded the train. They ate their breakfast and continued to sleep. They went unconscious for 3 hours until they reached kyoto.

When they exited the station, they felt as though they were transported back in time. Everything look so traditional and authentic. Since they did not manage to rent a car, they decided to take a cab to their ryokan. They wanted to stay in a ryokan to get the full Japan experience.

When they reached the ryokan, they were asked to remove their shoes and change into slippers before they checked in. They were then escorted to their rooms. They took off their slippers and Lisa went to explore room before dropping off her belongings. She's very excited about staying in her ryokan as it is part of her bucket list.

After touring their room, they left the ryokan and headed to the Fushimi Inari-Taisha Shrine to look the famous orange torii gates. They spent their while afternoon there and then head back to the ryokan to have their kaiseki ryori (Japanese multi course meal). It is part of the ryokan experience and it is not cheap. Lisa offered to pay as she wants to experience it but Kai rejected her offer and paid for the meal. It was an interesting experience as it really shows how meticulous Japanese can be.

After the meal, they wanted to go try out the outdoor onsen outside their room but they are not supposed to wear clothes. Since they are not at the stage where they are comfortable to do this, Kai told Lisa go enjoy the onsen while he go wash up. When they are done, they called the service staff to prepare their futon beds.

The staff place the beds together as she assumed that they were a couple. Lisa tried to move her bed away but Kai will follow suit. Lisa was annoyed but she was tired she just snuggled into the bed, trying to fall asleep. Suddenly, she felt something behind her back.

"Why are you sleeping on my bed? Go away."

"Why? I thought you enjoyed me as your bolster."

"No that's not true."

Kai slipped his arms under Lisa's waist a pulled her into his arms. Lisa froze as though electricity just ran through her spine. The next moment she knows, she's in his arms again.

"Why do you keep running away from me? Everytime I try to go a step towards you and you take 10 steps back. Why?"

Lisa didn't reply and instead tried to break free. Her attempt failed as Kai was too strong.

"I thought we agreed to be a couple for a year? Why are you treating me like a stranger?" Kai complained.

There still isn't any reply from Lisa. Kai kissed her forehead and her ears turn red. She's too taken aback by this and she did not want to have eye contact with Kai. She buried her head into his chest and slowly fell asleep. Kai was completely mesmerised by Lisa. He hugged her even tighter and fell asleep while smiling.
